  2. I shot over here immediately hoping you'd do gowns… And I agree Sherry Hill has gorgeous dresses but repeats in a patent of this caliber is a big fat No No! I think the women should be allowed to wear who and what they want…… Kansas looked AMAZING

  3. I am so glad that you included Michigan. Miss District of Columbia is absolutely beautiful, and she has not been given much attention throughout the preliminaries. Miss Florida is beautiful, but I did not like her gown.

  7. You do my favorite pageant recaps!!!

One of the great things about South Dakota’s gown was the shoe she wore with it. Classic and sexy shoes elevate a gown! Or tacky stripper heels run a look.

Florida’s gown. Well, I hate evening gowns that are like sparkly leotards with skirts. They aren’t elegant. They’re like gymnastic onesies with a skirt. Plus, her skirt was then too high on her waist, and the center front panel kept getting wrapped up between her legs.

I have a request for a video. Talk about past Miss Universe contestants who wore different gowns in the Preliminaries and Finals. I LOVED both of Iris Mittenaere’s gowns. I think I actually loved her yellow prelim gown more. And then Demi Leigh wore different gowns. While I actually liked her Prelim gown, many people didn’t. I did prefer the one for Finals. In the video you can talk about the danger of saving your “wow” gown for Finals, and then not making the Finals (like Raisa Santana, Brazil 2016). Or your own gown situation when you competed. I know that different countries handle the gowns differently. How much say do most girls get in deciding what to wear? I also remember that the Miss Universe Organization gave Miss Australia 2010 Jacinta Campbell trouble, with-holding approval for her Finals gown until the last moment.

In 2016, Miss South Dakota, Madison McKeown wore a couture gown by Lebanese designer Tony Ward in the Miss USA pageant. It was probably a $15-20,000.00 original, from his show at Paris Fashion Week. And she looked AMAZING!!!! Do girls ever approach designers about letting them wear one of their gowns? Do designers ever approach the girls? I know that both Pia and Iris wore gowns by Michael Cinco for their final walks. And Iris wore a Stephane Roland original at the beginning of the 2017 show. Iris has also become a muse for John Paul Gaultier as he is on the Miss France Board.

I’d LOVE a video about your take on pageant gowns.
