  1. Day care worker: literally endangers and potentially traumatized child. These comments: mom's a horrible person for being 15 minutes late. She should have telephoned.

  2. Fire that irresponsible employee, and a110% assist is their prosecution, to the fullest. Then that employee should be fully restricted from ever caring for a minor for the rest of their miserable life.

  3. Heres your retraining – DONT LOCK A DAMN CHILD INTO A BUILDING LIKE A MORON.
Honestly if that was me the day care workers would have come back to smashed glass and doors

  4. It seems the adults were more worked up than the kid during all of this. Still, I expect a daycare to know the whereabouts of all the kids in their care.
You don't close when one is still inside. A simple check was all that was needed.

  5. Damn the worker wanted to go home that bad.
Any number of things could have happened to that child. They're very lucky all they lost was the door.

  6. Not many things upset or let alone make me cry, but this made me cry.

15 minuets alone in a dark room must've felt like hours to this poor baby. She probally thought her mom forgot about her šŸ˜

  7. Now, think a little. There is no way someone knew the kid was inside and locked the doors and left with kid inside. OK? She was probably hiding and they probably do not have parent register sheet where each parent has to sign off they picked their kid and as a result, worker though the daycare was empty and all kids have been picked up. This is logistic issue. Have parents sign off when they come and check the list before closing.

  8. For anyone saying mom was at fault for being 15 min late, things happen, traffic, job sometimes mom canā€™t get out at the time she was supposed to. Regardless the daycare workers should have never left that child alone, actually most daycare penalize the parents with an extra fee for being late to pick up their kids.

  9. There's a day care here that did the same plus charged 5 dollars a minute. I with drew my kids got private. Year later they were closed down for abuse and neglect. Lock center and you were not allow to visit. Just drop off, pickup.

  10. This is disgusting! One time when I was in I think Grade six my parents were late for HOURS and yet the Receptionist kept trying to call everyone they could. My mom, my dad, my grandparents. It was in the winter and Iā€™m from Canada and didnā€™t have my key with me so even though I was old enough to walk home and my house wasnā€™t to far my principal DROVE me home and to my neighbours to get my spare key. It was terrifying even not just knowing where my parents were or what they were doing. But at least the staff did their job even if we did wait for HOURS. The fact that this TWO YEAR OLD had to wait in a locked building by herself because the staff wasnā€™t willing to wait a few more minutes is unbelievable. They shouldnā€™t be ā€œretrainedā€ they should be fired. This is child endangerment.
