  1. My easy tips to memorize the full name of the city of Bangkok.😉🎧🎤🎶

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c76LZ5Y4IIc

    Full lyrics and Meaning:

    KRUNGTHEPMAHANAKHON AMONRATTANAKOSIN MAHINTHRAYUTTHAYA

City of Angels, Great City of Immortals,

    MAHADILOKPHOP NOPPHARATRATCHATHANIBURIROM

Magnificent City of the Nine Gems, Seat of the King,

UDOMRATCHANIWETMAHASATHAN AMONPHIMAN – AWA – TANSATHIT

City of Royal Palaces, Home of the Gods Incarnate,

    SAKKATHATIYAWITSANUKAMPRASIT

Erected by Visvakarman at Indra's Behest.

  2. We always called Bangkok Krungthep or add it with mahanakhon and Bangkok is come from old way to call a village there Bang can mean sub district and kok from plant name because there are too many of them.
About scam yeah beware Taxi scam that not turn on the meter and yes Taxi always like tourists they drive pass they Thai people and find tourists so just sure they turn on meter and you can open google map and see they not drive wrong way to made you spend more and beware some scam vendor that sell tourist price some of them not even Thai people and most of scammers always in tourist area
Coup in Thailand is like virtuous circle , government——> corruption ——>riot ———> coup ( they claim that they come for keep peace )——-> election ——-> government yeah and it back to the beginning to continue loop and for Thai people coup is like yeah we have free holiday (they curfew so it free day )and shit we need to waste couple years to back to normal state and yes for physical danger riot always danger than coup incident.

  3. We can ride an elephant though in Thailand but we do respect them as well, most of the people who can ride them alone is Mahout, which is the one who take care of the elephant. For normal Thai people, we are not usually ride them, if we want to take a ride, it's need to be under the Mahout's supervision. One of the thing is some people also think that they are sacred animal as well because elephant has been with Thai people since Sukhothai era, they were used in a transportation and as a vehicle when fighting during the war and being considered as one of the soldier in the war. King Ramkamhang, which is the first king in Thai history along with other kings that used to make wars with Burmese also have a partner elephant to fight in the wars. This is why we Thai people respect elephants, because they are part of our history and protected our land along with other soldiers.

  4. How to spot a scam? just stay away from tuk-tuuk drivers or someone who approach you with the map and everything prepared. If you wanna ride a tuk-tuk, just go to the ones waiting for u patienly. But as a bangkokian I hav never used tuk-tuk for decades bc u could use taxi( sure with meter on!) or grab and using BTS or MRT is the better way to travel in the city as u might b jammed on the street.

  5. The information about our present king is 'WRONG'. He is not the richest king in the world as far as I know his wealth is less than King of Saudi Arabia and King Charles III of GBT. We also can criticize him if only it is 'The Truth'. During pandemic crisis, he was not in only Germany. He helped Thai people a lot during Pandemic.

  6. Short version of Bangkok is just Krungthep. Bangkok is the old name of Krungthep but with the mispronounced. The old name was Barng-Gok not Bank-Co*k but for some reason the western that came to Thailand (intentional or not) mispronounced it

  7. Chiang Mai not have fresh air for a while due to wild fire and stuff. I kind of suffer from those smoke and air pollution. so if you came to Chiang Mai make sure to wear mask and try to be indoor. But maybe some mountain or forest still have fresh air ,those pollution effect mostly in city. so good luck and take care if you wanna visit.

  8. That's true. We have 7 colors on each day. II used to work in a private school and we have 7 different colors shirts to wear as a uniform lol. Mon-yellow/Tue-pink/Wed-green/Thu-orange/Fri-light blue/Sat-purple/Sun-red

  9. Regarding the full name of the capital city of Thailand
    – Thais normally don't say the full name, we just say "Krung Thep" or a little bit longer one in formal setting "Krung Thep Mahanakorn" which means The Great City of Krung Thep.
    – There is a song that used it as a part of the lyrics: Krung Thep Mahanakorn by Asanee-Wasan.
    – If you use Krung Thep instead of Bangkok during your visit there, you'll impress a lot of Thais (trust me 😉 )

    Regarding the alphabet chart
    – Yes, we use animals, objects and places in the chart to help children learn the alphabets easier.
    – There is a rhyme to help you remember all the alphabets and how they sound like.

Regarding coups (NOTE: I'm not an expert in this topic, I know just pieces and bits)
    – Well yes, it's a big number comparing to most countries.
    – Most of the them have been written in school history book as "justified", that's why some Thais are indifferent towards coup d'etat.
    – Regarding the involvement of the monarch, the royal family is forbidden to intervene in Thai politics by the constitutional laws.
    – Le Majeste is a spicy and taboo-ish topic in Thai politics right now. You can look it up, if you want to know more. (I don't to risk my skin here)

Regarding Thais riding elephants all the time
    – No, we don't do that.
    – I don't even know where this rumor is originated from :/

    Regarding pageants
    – Yes, it's a big thing here. The expectation is also exorbitant.
    – Like other forms of competition, when things get a bit too heated… well you now what happens afterwards.
    – There are various pageant competitions here from Miss Universe, Miss Grand, Miss International, Miss Fabulous, Miss Keemao (literally means Miss Drunk or Miss Alcoholic, but I haven't watched so I don't know much. I don't think they have anything to do with alcoholism though, just a fun twist of wording perhaps????)

  10. Bangkok was the name of village that was there before we built the city, all ships had to stop there before go up the river to AYUTTHAYA (the old capital) for tax& inspection, so the name was very familiar with foreigners and still using it until today.
For THAI, we call this city by the name "KRUNG THEP-city of angels"(Los Angeles 😅).
About WW2 actually we fought the Japanese for about 5 hours and lost so we had to allow their army to go through to BURMA, the Japanese landed in southern Thailand the same time they attacked Pearl Harbour and they also sent their troops in though French Indo-China, so our situation was similar to France, tried to fright but lost then had to took side with the enemy but had the exile government outside the country and the underground fighters fought inside the country.

  11. Hiii i’m Thai🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 We just call it Krung Thep we don't call Krung Thep by its full name like that.
And yes, the meaning of Krung Thep and Los Angeles is the same. sorry for my english😅😅

  12. R = R A T rat หนู
    C =C A T Cat แมว
    B = B A T Bat ค้างคาว
    Lesson 1 บทที่1 😂 มาเป็นเพลง

  13. Colors for each day is so true, especially in the senior in the workplace, hahaha. It is easy to dress and makes them remember which is the day be, 😅

  14. How can it be said that Thailand and the Philippines are similar, even though the races are different, Thais are Austroasiatic, while Filipinos are Austronesian?🥴😵‍💫

  15. Please don’t judge the issue of Elephant welfare by your opinion of PETA, the use of elephants in riding and performing is still terrible. The video makes an inaccurate comparison to horse riding, which is not the same as elephant riding. The vertebrae in a horse’s spine is curved, while an elephant’s in angular. This means the weight being carried on a horse is evenly distributed across its spine, but on an elephant, it’s all focused down the centre. Combined with the fact that elephants also have to carry the heavy, metal cages that hold the seats, this makes it very painful for the elephant.

I really recommend doing a reaction of Lek Chailert, the Thai woman who founded the Elephant Nature Park sanctuary. There are a number of videos about her on YouTube you could watch. Also, you could try watching a video about how elephants are trained, in a process called “the crush”, although you’ll be unable to monetise a reaction video of it, as it’s very graphic and brutal, but shows just how cruel elephant training is.

  16. Thais are masters at bargaining and have an almost psychic level community communication grapevine.
Never underestimate the importance of being respectful and giving a good impression with any Thai person.
My friend in phuket took me on a 1/2 hour walk through the local shopping and market area. When we returned to my hotel (where his wife worked) she casually asked him who he met up with and spoke to. He winked at me, laughed and told her to tell us instead. She basically gave us a rundown of every move we made and what women he spoke to 😂 totally epic.
On another day she pointed out a father and son at the bar who looked like they had been a round of two with Mike Tyson. Apparently 6 years before they had skipped out on a restaurant bill before flying out of the country. They had thought no one would remember when they came back. Big mistake. Thais never forget a face. They were jumped on their first night in town and taught a lesson. Apparently everywhere they went they were asked to pay a deposit in advance before being served 😂
Also when you shop and bargain with them they will put your goods in a coloured or patterned plastic bag.
The colour of your bag will often be a code for what type of customer you are ( hard bargainer, cheapskate, easy target etc) to let the rest of the vendors know if you are worth haggling with. If you drive a hard bargain they will know before you even say hello. 😂

  17. lol the Thai ambassador who conveniently mislaid a declaration of war has to be the definition of “the most Thai thing ever”
Very typical of their outlook on life. Probably why we Aussies like them so much.

  18. Yes you can ride them in the park…you can do it in Malaysia also, yes we in South East Asia all our country except the Philippines have wild ELEPHANTS. Where i live elephants always cross the road and eat our bananas tree and destroyed our garden lol. I live near an elephant sanctuary in Malaysia, come visit us here and play with the ellies xD.

  19. The shortest name for Bangkok in Thai is KRUNG THEP literally means big city or capital city. BTW the name BANGKOK was not Thai it is Malay, there used to be a large population of native Malays living in that area long time ago until the Thai took over that land. Bangkok or Bengkok literally means BEND or crooked, the Malays call the place that because the river on that place literally bended like a wire if you look at the map.
