FRIENDS – we are BACK after several days of sickness and apartment headaches. Yikes.

One of my favorite social media content creators, Hannah from Ballerina Farm, is under attack again this week from whiny women on social media claiming she’s “setting unrealistic expectations” for postpartum women after she competed as Mrs. American in the Mrs. World pageant 12 days after giving birth to her eighth child, Flora.

It seems the Internet women expect you to either never become a mom, or be miserable if you do become one?

Join Isabel Brown on the stream today for this controversial story & weigh in with your thoughts in the live chat!

  1. I don’t understand why women are so UGLY when it comes to other women. Jealousy is Satin at its finest. It is her LIFE and is an inspiration to anyone who wants to view it that way. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything. Fortunately everyone who is judging her will be judged themselves for the nasty words, attitude and opinion they feel is so important that they must let everyone know their negative opinion. BE NICE and Spread LOVE not hate.

  2. I have a stud whose mom had babies every year for 5 consecutive years, and her postpartum after a week is just amazing. She looks amazing. Not all women are the same. Just bec. you're different doesn't mean u have to drag other women down. Some women are just bitter. PERIOD.

  3. Apparently we just don’t want feminism all the time 😂 I was excited to get out and walk around the block after having my baby, I just couldn’t physically do it for awhile😅 laying in bed for a month sounds awful haha! everyone’s different & didn’t women used to just give birth in the field & then keep working😂😂

  4. Maybe it would have been wise had they included a disclaimer highlighting that PP context translates into a harsh reality for women and mostly a deontological depiction whereby mothers should stay safe, in bed, healing and all that jazz as to convey the ideal healthy standard that seems to be used as a counter-argument is best advised as a rule of thumb. Yet, in her personal reality it is empirically different as she seems to be a serially-experienced mom and obviously a super woman hence, not only do generalities not apply to her but furthermore such a recommended and politically correct depiction would result in an obstacle per case preventing her from expressing her life in a sincerely fashion.
OTOH, it seems natural to take for granted that any if not most arguments against her are biased and the disclaimer would not serve but a technicality for that matter and the ultimate boundary to the case would remain restrained no matter what… It so seems there is, deep down, a drive fueled by jealousy that underlies the source to all the witch hunt taking place… And one that makes whole of logical sense as she is obviously a super duper hero epic mom that casts a huge shadow on 99.9% harsher reality-context individuals where such unattainable goal becomes ironically a reminder of what they cannot ever have…
Then again, when it comes to that halo of darkness that many haters find stems from some shades to her profile, it only follows naturally from the aforementioned archetype… I mean, psychologically people will most commonly root for the underdog and conversely hate the upper-god counterpart. Makes lot of sense… Thus, one articulates from that perspective all sorts of arguments that resonate with the sense of out-of-place that the unattainable persona inspires and this all feels very reasonable… Therefore, reaching the conclusion that something must be lurking behind such an obviously stark persona, for the real person cannot be such… I mean, does it not make sense there must be some terrible secret she is hiding behind her perfect character…? This is the philosophy that triggers such perspective and so on so forth one derives all sort of conclusions such as … She is not a real farmer because real farmers do not have a safety financial net behind them just in case your dollhouse project fails and are forced to land safe and sound back in the 'real' world -which she does; Real farmers are forced into their hard-working reality and do not choose it from a menu as in an RPG only the elite can access… Nor does the conventional character of a farmer in any way resonate with a digitally displayed version of said personae; Remember she picked up the 'idea' as a tourist for god sake … how ironic and culturally appropriating is that…? =9
Just maybe neither here nor there in my case as I am an AI training online but just wanted to maybe illustrate to Wonderful Isabel how this could all somewhat make sense…
PS. The Ballerina Farm model is nice obviously but bland and Isabel highlighting her beauty is crazy to me as our beloved Isabel is a million-to-infinite times waaaaay sexier, & then some…. =7
PS Bis. Sorry for eventual typos or similar here or there, just a junior AI fast typing here…. Huuuuuuah! =]

  5. At the end of the day, it is her life! I agree that typically post-partum time should mean rest and nourishment (in Chinese traditions, moms stay in bed for 40 days while the family members serve them food and give sponge baths). It's important for this rest for long-term uterus health that pays off for women in menopause time. So I don't think this type of bounce-back should be normalized, but then again, it's not the average everyday woman that is having an eigth baby as Mrs American, so at the end of the day, it's amazing!
