Although I love helping people with their hair, I also love getting out into the community and encouraging our youth and adults. This pageant was organized by me after I heard one too many African American girls within my own community expressing what they go through pertaining to their looks, skin complexion, hair etc.. I wanted to create a platform that will encourage African American girls to love themselves no matter what others may say and be confident in doing so.
