  1. Post modernists are trying to shut down any convieniance we used to take for granted. Drive thrus are under attack not for any real reason but any imagined reasons they can think of.

  2. My husband played football and was a pianist in high school. He said it was great! If the girls liked the football players, he had them. If the girls were more romantically inclined, he has his romantic songs to play. There is a jacket called a "letter jacket," which you got after a certain amount of time playing the sport, as well as other rules such as, you had to have played a certain number of games all the way through to "letter." If a girl wore your letter jacket, it meant you were going "steady." My husband said his proudest moment in high school was watching two girls fighting in the dirt for his letter jacket. And this was in the 1950's, when girls, especially in the South, were ladies. Their parents very likely punished them for such vulgar and disrespectful behavior.

  3. You have to admit that Mrs. Browns Boys was hilarious. lol I learned how to drive at 13 in the middle of the mall parking lot in the middle of the night. I think my license when I actually went and got one was $25 not saying how many years I drove without one lol Personalized plates vary per state. Here in Wyoming I think it was $75 but most of the ones I looked at in Florida when I lived there were $35-$50

  4. I’ve been through a drive through liquor store, we even have drive through wedding chapels. Also don’t punish the drive throughs and the people being responsible. They should revoke the license of the distracted drivers. My doctors office calls the prescription into my pharmacy so I can pick it up on my way home!

  5. The only reason you have drive thu's in the UK is because of the American Companies introducing you to it. Now most Companies just deliver it. Lewis you need to leave the house and see the world around you. Europe is still in the last
Century. The variety of diffent foods and products in Ameria is vass

  6. I think it’s more common to know what u want to do in school or have some idea. I remember my cousin, who is the same age, was a bit panicked bc she didn’t know, when everyone else around her did.

  7. Pharmacist here in U.S. She is describing the old way of doing scripts here. Now days, every pharmacy in my state has to be able to receive electronic scripts from the doctor. It saves the nurses and pharmacists time to not have to send the scripts verbally by phone, and the pharmacist doesn't have to call the doctor to clarify the atrocious handwriting. Win-Win.

  8. I couldn’t help LMAO at the comment about electronic prescriptions versus paper prescriptions, what do you people think we did before computers…???Yeah paper. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  9. About the Driver's ed. Only about half of the states in the US require driver's education, the other half basically just requires that you practice and do not check to see if you actually practiced. It is usually assumed you are practicing with parents.

  10. I went to a private high school, so we had to pay for a local drivers class. I don’t remember the cost since it’s been so long. But yes – we had a teacher who took us driving and taught us. Then you have to take the test at the state agency to get your actual license, and you do pay for that.

  11. Personalized license plates cost an extra $35 every year, plus a one time manufacturing fee when you order your plate, also $35 (in the state of Georgia, where I live). The only thing you pay for your drivers license is the fee when you get it or renew it, and it’s gone up to $32, but it’s good for 8 years. You can also get a learner’s license before you take your test, and that only costs $10.

  12. I dont like this lady and think her videos are garbage. I dont know where she has been in the US but it's definitely different from anywhere I've ever been. Ive been to France 3 times and the people i encountered were the rudest people I've ever met. Never again.

  13. The entertainment thing is funny to me because British tv is pretty popular here. Doctor Who, to name one, is very popular. Great British baking, Downtown Abby, ect.

And yes, highschoolers can take a driver's class. It's optional, though. And it was an after school class. I took it and it wasn't free but it was only 50$.

We can personalize our plates, but they do have rules about it. It can't be derogatory or a slur for example. Here in Wisconsin it's an extra 15$ a year with registration

  14. Right on red UNLESS there's a sign that says NO RIGHT ON RED or no turn on red.. so must look up at the light to see if a sign is hanging on the line up there saying you can't.. or a sign on right side of road telling you no

  15. We now have you order what you want from the store and pay for them over the phone and they go pick the items up and you come and park your car and they bring them out and load them in your vehicle for you

  16. I actually watch quite a bit of TV series from the UK and imho mainstream series in the UK are superior.

My driver's ed in-class instruction was free, but on the road driving instruction was not free.
