17’s Chief Meteorologist Alissa Carlson Schwartz competed in the Mrs. America Pageant in Las Vegas this weekend. The Mrs. America Pageant was established to honor married women throughout the country.

Alissa made it all the way to the top 15.

While she did not advance as one of the final six contestants, Alissa represented Bakersfield, Kern County and Aalifornia in the competition and made her 17News family very proud!
