If Ms USA will be representing the country in Ms Universe, the Ms USA candidate has to clarify whether the Ms Universe is open to single mothers, wives, drug addicts, rehabilitated drug offenders, transgenders — to avoid basic misunderstanding. There are now several international beauty pageants which provide platforms for transgenders, wives, etc.
It was announced this week that the Ms Universe Event was sold to a Thai Transgender who might be color blind. Maybe, the basic requirements have been waived to include short, married, obese, toothless, mentally deranged "beauty queens" to appease all the negative criticisms!

Regardless of how those other girls felt about Miss Gabriel's win, they should have kept it behind doors or dealt with it in private with management rather than being poor sports and taking away some of her light. Guess they never saw American Idol, which often favored contestants? As for Cheslie Kryst, my heart still aches. I just wonder if she was sitting on a secret which could have jeopardized her Miss USA legacy, like her past suic!de attempt?
