She emphasised that natural hair should not be worn on a regular basis. This kind of message makes women feel as though their natural hair is not beautiful enough to fit society’s beauty standards. It encourages women to hate themselves and to not feel worthy enough unless they can conform to society’s standards of beauty…(read more at source)

  1. Hey sister, I loved this video. You made valid points and I hope more of us Black women are intentional about how we carry ourselves. And what we say to each other because everything that lady said was ignorant asf. We have little black girls looking up at us for guidance and wisdom. We need to be an example of what it means to love our selves, even in our natural state. Nothing that sister said was uplifting or empowering to me. It was very cringy to watch but I’m glad you pointed this lady out because nothing she said made sense.

  2. then they wanna cry when other features are uplifted. they cry when others call them bald headed or when the world associates them with weave and wigs. im sick of black women crying just to turn around and uphold those same harmful stereotypes against other black women

  3. She made a statement about African women versus American women. She said American can wear their natural hair because it's more presentable than African hair. Cornrows are better for African hair. I found it a bit odd.

  4. The evidence that proves that wig wearing is appropriation. It is not the problems of society that force black women to use wigs. It is because they hate their own hair and wished from the bottom of their hearts that they had European hair. I don't want to hear anything about cultural appropriation until black women stop stealing white women hair

  5. Maybe she was trying to get attention and go viral. Nobody knows who she is. She sounds like she hates herself. And considering how bad alot of the public figure, Nigerian women's hair peices look, why do we care? The wigs, weave and the makeup are often over the top. They look as silly as women in the US on blonde wigs, colored contacts, and clown makeup. As a collective, we as black qomen need to get therapy for the damage that "white standard of beauty" conditioning has done on us. I've heard black women cannot stand to look at themselves in the mirror withour makeup on

  6. 8:00 what you said after this point imahine what dark women hear constantly. Thisnis why that chick spoke like that. She felt shes protecting women darker than you from those same type of comments which are usually nastier than what you hear. Dont be a gaslighter with your video topic
