The āsplitā into two separate identities very young was probably a defense mechanism that saved her psyche from being totally corrupted by the extent of abuse and exploitation her mother/pimp put her through. Madison seems lovely, brilliant, and to have a positive relationship with her mom now, but just wait until she has a daughter of her own – grandma will attempt to highjack the child, Madison will either a) fail her child by giving in to preserve her own maternal relationship, or b) champion a better life for her child and have her mother turn on her and make her life Hell. Either way, because of all that forced āwinningā and through no fault of her own, Madison is going to start losing BIG.
