Was it just me, or have we seen Luxx's runway outfit worn by Bosco before? I loved the outfit, but I instantly thought I've seen it before, which is terrible for a "Who is She" category!

What this really taught me is that something about the talent show needs to be adjusted, honestly. While I understand that li-syncing is a big part of many queens' skillset, the fact that nearly every performance was one was frustrating and, frankly, boring. If a girl is going to LS, she needs to combine it with something else or it ends up so forgettable. For example, Anetra not only has some great voguing, but also punctuated her performance with the board hits, which made her more memorable than most of the others even if her performance itself hadn't been so stunning to begin with.
Honestly, Irene wasn't the best, but the editing really did her dirty too. She at least got a giggle out of me, which is something. While I would put her in the bottom, I wouldn't have had her in the bottom two just because she dared to do something different.

I wonder how far along Sugar and Spice got into prepping for Drag Race before deciding they would compete separately instead of together. Something tells me it was a decision made pretty close to filming.

Hey @bussyqueen sugar and spice base their drag off of recreating their childhood dolls like bratz, Ariel, belle, etc. so thatâs how dressing like the princesses actually tells you all about the roots of their passion. However, you are totally right in saying it was confusing because it needed and explanation to be great and it needed to be great on its own.
I want to know what the props dept. looks like. 2 different beds, a throne, and a coffin…

I dont think Amethyst should be getting read for her shoes. It fit the character and fit the fit. I guess my overlying problem is that the show holds very particular viewpoints, boundaries and restrictions, whilst being overly muddy about what portion of drag culture they want to represent.
Also, Sasha's talent was storytelling… throught the art of dance… periodt. The story was amazing, shes a legendary dancer and showed her talent v nicely :>
I'm going to be honest… I'm so tired of "lip syncing" being considered a "talent". I love it when Queens shows off an actual talent, like playing the piano or the guitar, drums, singing live, etc. Example: I'm still GAGGED over Monet X-Changed showing off her Pavorotti voice in that beautiful gown in All Stars 7. I mean DAYUM… I STILL got the goosebumps on my arms to prove it! And as for the runway, I don't get it. I thought the "Who is she?" category was supposed to be inspired by famous looks. Example: As soon as The Twins came out in their Disney Princess looks, I got it. But everyone else…

people are saying aura should have been in the bottom two which fucking baffles me. like, over amethyst and irene, really??? just say you hate aura and move on. aura is getting a lot of hate this season and it does not line up with my fantasy.

It always bugs me when someone says âThis look doesnât really tell me who_____ isâ as if a queen canât be versatile in their aesthetic in their first couple of runways. Even more annoying is when this is praised for the very next contestant, just like your comments about Spice and then Luxx Noir immediately after. Spice you couldnât understand and was not cohesive to her first two looks, whilst Luxx Noir was âa fun departure from her first two looks!â Why isnât Spice afforded the same luxury of changing her style completely like Luxx did?

I personally appreciate the loosey respect despite the performance haha. Iâve seen her perform before and itâs clear she couldnât hear herself . Transitioning from small rooms to a sound stage is absolutely tough. Hope she gets a redemption!
My critique for the series in general is the amount of queens we get from the get go!
16!!! feels just too much to even get to know them. Cut it down to 12 so we got a chance to get invested and attached.
At least we got a chop this time around in the first episode and it seems no safe gimmick since the last seasons went on too long. đ

I honestly have never been so upset at an early elimination EVER. Irene was honestly the most entertaining person on the show I was so disappointed she was eliminated. I mean you canât deny she deserved to be on the bottom, her talent was not funny, but I did think she won the lip synch and she was just such good tv. I canât help but feel just a bit flat about the rest of the season now. I canât even be bother to watch untucked.
