  1. Yeah us aussies also got the "worrying amount of underage binge drinking" problem 😅

I was getting high off my arse and binge drinking at 14, too, here that's pretty normal 🤷🏻‍♂️

  2. I can tell you that Denmark are among the top 5 countries with the most young people drinking and the heaviest drinkers among young people… Yay Denmark?…
These girls need some other kind of help then this, but Pavia to me, looks like a girl that especially need some emotion regulation help, someone she can trust to help her and guide her, the "melt down" she had in the end of the episode, really reminds me of myself when i was in a really mentally bad place and got cornered up, i would be self destructive and give up on things the moment it got a little hard.. When one of the girls misspoke their speech and almost left the stage in frustration, I have been there too.. Kind words from an adult who thinks they understand the situation but don't know shit is honestly extremely frustrating – I have Autism, i didn't know then, i was in a place where my PTSD flared up, i also didn't know i had that, my anxiety was also taking over and the world seemed to close in around me, and i had adults in my life telling me to cheer up and go on strong.. Had i had been around people with a bad influence on me, i would have gone out partying, drinking, taking drugs, because i was vulnerable and needed to get out, luckily i didn't do those things, i isolated.
These girls don't need to be models, they need help, had they now given them help with a GOAL of becoming miss something, in the end that would have been so much more valuable..

  3. The British youth are obsessed with drinking. It's pathetic. I don't miss the UK for that. Teens in continental Europe are way more grounded and serious about their futures

  4. There's no correction without connection, that's true for us all but especially for a young person like Pavia. I'm disgusted that her situation (and the others) was aired for entertainment, when they so clearly needed support first. Luxeria your emotional intelligence and wisdom never fail to knock me over. If everyone "got it" the way you do, the world would be so much nicer.

  5. Gosh I feel horrible saying this , but I never have ANY idea what some of the girls (such as Pavia) are ever saying 😭

Edit: my YouTube captions won’t even decipher what her and Laura are saying in their argument at the end ! It just says [Music] 😂😭

  6. 12:01 The finger follow is often discouraged in many education systems. but it has been a strong supportive tool for people with Dyslexia. I have the big D and at 38 I still find myself using all the techniques I learned when I was in elementary school to help me read and comprehend books and articles.

  7. I've just finished binging all the episodes of this you have of this so far, and I'm so invested. Not only is it a griping premise (which is saying something, on my end, because I normally hate reality TV) but your commentary is priceless.

  8. 25:57 They do realize that not only are these children but children from trauma who have never been taught to act like a pageant contestant and the adults are coming in there all angry and pissed off with them for not already knowing everything that they should know! Like… They have to be taught? Also, as someone who has a history of childhood trauma myself this would have felt INCREDIBLY awkward, like PAINFULLY so… When I was a teenager! I spent the vast majority of my life hiding in a corner watching watching everyone else so being called to come out of that corner and perform in front of others would have been incredibly uncomfortable for me…

  9. 22:34 Lol! I was not expecting that XD

EDIT: They were throwing the books on the floor at Ellen's feet as she was trying to do her walk. They must have been doing it on purpose, because the teacher said, "ignore them."

This is sort of giving me flashbacks to being the creepy goth kid that everyone bullied in middle school. I don't think I was ready for this today ._.

  10. 17:03 LMAO that’s just how it was back then here. “Stop doing that!” with no thought or even attempt to tackle the root cause.

EDIT: Also how things went down back then, if there was evidence of what you did wrong, it will be shown to you to face it and (hopefully) think about what you did.

  11. DID is such a difficult condition to have, you literally go through hell and back as a child to the point of having a fragmented psychee just to survive, and the response of others is to bully the survivor ? "Humanity" is absolutely vile through and through.

  12. I feel like Pavia singled herself out there. By acting like she was the only one being called out while the other girls who got called out for the exact same behavior at the exact same time sat quietly like they were thinking over their actions she really made herself stand out as the problem. I would have been surprised if she wasn't eliminated after that argument, and how she reacted to being eliminated only further validated the choice to send her home as the correct one. I hope she got home, had some time to cool off and do some self reflection, and did take the steps she needed to better herself and to do something with her life like she wants to.

  13. Michelle is so gracious with these young ladies, it's refreshing. Even when Laura let herself be dragged into Pavia's tantrum she managed and corrected her so kindly. She'd make a great teacher/mentor warts and all.

  14. This definitely isn't relevant to this specific situation but following the words with a finger or pencil is a technique to read at a faster words per minute

  15. If I was judging, I’d tell Pavia “and this kind of behavior is why you are going home.”
Edit: It turned out she kind of ended up saying the same thing. I really hope Pavia has been able to work through some of her issues since this show.

  16. Will and Grace is one of my favorite series !!!!!
Sometimes you scream something and I have no clue what you said, but I laugh everytime x) 🖤

  17. So in the US pagents are kinda marketed as like being royalty, fulfilling the princess fantasy that's shown in media to young girls. Many pagents in the US have thier winners show up at events like parades, store openings, and fundraisers. So while some of the strict morals or desire to be a symbol of femininity is projected by the culture, its also reinforced by how pagent winners are supposed to be in the public eye as publicity. If I recall correctly there was many news stories back in the 2000s about pagent winners and the moral clauses they must adhere to in order to keep thier crowns and benefits like schoolarships and things. I think the articles happened because of a scandal with a previous Miss USA winner. I was a kid back then so i might miss remember some details.
