With only 48 hours until showtime Lola is at the venue prepping for the pageant. A domino effect occurs when there’s no tech support for the contestants causing everyone’s sound check to be delayed but things only become worse when Lola and Alaska find out that they’re not allowed to serve alcohol at the pageant.

Assuming the legal drinking age, if the venue was restricted to 21 and over, would LA.P.D. have given the go-ahead? Restrict the performers to 18, but the audience to 21? I think the idea was dumb… then again, I know a few drag folks and fans, sooo ๐คฃ But would that have brought things over the hurdle to get the booze pouring?

the talent? Wow!
I don't know if this was intentional or simply done to create tension, but the tech crew was portrayed as fully incompetent. I thought this would be a little documentary celebrating drag, but it turned out supremely negative. I suppose that's understandable when so many things obviously went wrong, but I expected more of a balance, especially with all this talent on display.
