a tutorial of how to do glitz pageant hair and makeup. her hair would be alot poofier and bigger in a glitz pageant and she would have hairpieces but they wernt styled so we didnt use them. we would also put fake eylashes on her which would go after the all the eye makeup. in the last pictures i have my hairpiece on.
STEP BY STEP
MAKE-UP
1. i apply some moisturiser all over her face. here i use lancome.
2. then i use a green stick and cover up all her red patches on her face(not shown in vid but i used lancome)
3. next i apply some foundation. i use a sponge and dab it all over her face and then sponge downwards on her face. i use the right coloured MAC foundation.
4. i then apply a thick textured concealer( 2 shades lighter than foundation, i use clinique) and put it under her eyes, above her lipline, down the center of her nose, the center of her forehead and on her chin. (i do this because this is where the ligh hits first on your face). i then use my finger and dab it in.
5. i then apply powder all over her face (with a brush) evenly using downward strokes. i use clinique.
6. then i get her to make a fish face and i apply blush on her cheek bones, chin and sides of forehead using a different brush from the powder one. i use a colour that will match her outfits and lipstick well. here i use a dark peachy/red tone from lancome(dont apply blush below the line you can see when you make a fish face)
7. i then use MAC’s eyeshadow (phloof!) and apply it all over her eyelid. then i use MAC’s eyeshadow(sunset b) and apply it on her bottom lid and halfway up her eyelid. then i apply MAC’s eyeshadow (knight) and apply it all over her bottom lid and make a bit of a cat eye. i also smudge it so it is halfway up her eyelid where sunset b finishes.
8. i then use lancomes black liquid eyeliner and line the top of her eye where her her eyelashes are and line underneath her waterline. i then use a white eyeliner and line her waterline(white makes your eyes look bigger)
9. i then use black mascara on her bottom and top eyelashes. and then i curl her top eyelashes.
10. then i use a clear mascara and tidy up her eyebrows.
11. i then apply a little of pink glitter on ther side of her bottom eyelid.
12. then i line her lips using a hot pink lipliner tone from MAC.
13. using a brush i get some lipstick off thestick of the actual lipstick and apply it on her lips. i then get a clear 16hr gloss which makes the lipstick stay on.
HAIR
1. i tease all her hair (using a teasing comb and a round brush) front and back and spray it all over with hairspray. i repeat this many times to make sure her hair is very poofy.
2. i then part her hair to the side and bring it around to the back of her head and pin it making sure it is perfect and is poofy. i leave some hair on top of where i pinned it so it is not flat at the back. again i spray it with hairspray. (she has a fringe so i comb it to the side and leave it out. hairspray it again)
3. i then tease her hair that i left at the back so its not flat.i would then put the hairpiece in but instead i combed it so its perfect and so its ontop of the pinned part. hairspray that again.
4. then i take some hair from the sam side of her hair where it is parted and i tease it. i then lift up the hair that is sitting ontop of the pinned part and it get the hair from the same side and pin it so that i can see the hair sticking out on the other side
5. then place the hair (that i left so it doesnt look flat) and comb it so it is perfectly sitting on top of the pinned parts. make sure it is not flat and that it is teased
6. with the hair that is sticking out curl it in so that it is flicked in. hairspray whole head heavily.
7. tease her hair that is hanging down and then hairspray it. then comb it softly and flick the ends of the hair in. hairspray.
8. i then get the bow that matches her swimsuit and pin it above the hair that is sticking out on the side.
9. i then tease all the back of her hair and perfect it. i then hairspray her whole head again…(read more at source)

I want my little sister to do pageants
thats because its stage make up 🙂 shes already pretty, so she doesnt need make up for that, but everyone needs stage make up if they are preforming. Its just so people can see her facial features clearly
I find it odd how everyone goes crazy when mother's put makeup on their child for a few hours but they are just fine with people caking it on girls AND boys for Halloween… I mean come on. It's a lot less make up than you have probably put on your kids to be Dracula or a clown. Maybe someone should crucify you and call you a bad mother for that, fair is fair after all. And lets not even try to whole Halloween makeup is better or BS like that cause it's really not, it's much worse actually.
I know the feeling
curling iron, rollers, either hot or velcro. curl it all under, set it with hairspray, tease the root and brush the ends out so they're fluffy. a lot of girls use hair pieces that already have that style set in place.
can you do a tutorial of how to do the big flipped under look a lot of pageant girls do?
i can't find a tutorial on it anywhere!

it's too fast, and lighting isn't great. i can't tell what brands or colors she's showing because it's soooo fast. can you post what the brands and colors are you're using?
@kaymac13 when i go to pageants i notice that they use exactly the same makeup. they use more moisturiser and alot of primer. they always use mac or the other expensive brands like nars. and they use mac pigments for the eyes insted of actual eyeshadow. the pigments are more vibrant.
How would you do this different with a 3 year old. Do you need a special base for the sensitive skin or just more expensive makeup MAC etc.
