My mom had me in pageants from age 2-11, I did another one when I was 14. Now I'm 23 and I am getting back into them, they helped build my confidence when I was younger, especially with being bullied in school. I loved them, but I know they are not for everyone. From one pageant kid to soon-to-be ones, just have fun and focus on the experience, it's not about winning or losing, as long as you have fun and are yourself it is worth it.
please keep an eye on her in pageants! i did something similar and it turned very very toxic as i got older

I don’t live in America and pageants aren’t really a thing here in the UK so i don’t know much about then but the only time we hear of them is about how toxic and bad they are. girls at an extremely young age wearing makeup, putting fake tan on, having to look “pretty” by changing their appearance through all these things. and then getting judged by how “pretty” or “cute” you look. kids of such a young age placing their value on their appearance. Tell Hazel to do a ‘Little Miss sunshine’, be herself, don’t compare herself to the other girls, don’t feel she needs to look the stereotypical “pretty”. love your family so much and have watched you guys for years, which is why i care so much! If you want to grow her confidence it could be through something that she feels proud of or something she has achieved and accomplished like learning how to do a sport or dance 💗

They have earring backs that lock so they won't lose there earrings go to a jewelry store and ask them about them cause they make them for newborn babies so they can't pull them out there pretty nice to they have gold silver and white gold ao I would at least check it out …
Your kids are beautiful and kind, they don’t need to be in pageants to know they are special. We have worked so hard and come so far from the time of pageant objectification….your kiddos would likely enjoy exploring other interests….don’t subject your dream of being in pageants onto your kids. If they don’t win every time they’ll be disappointed in themselves and feel bad for disappointing you.

I have no doubt you know best, but I just hope you reconsider the pageant enrollment. Being judged on looks and dresses from an early age can be very detrimental to their mental health because it’ll make them compare themselves to others in a way they never would’ve thought about otherwise. Imagine the effects of putting kids up to be judged against each other based primarily on looks.
Even if she wins, that kind of confidence I think would be misplaced because winning in those aspects isn’t really what matters.

Sooo excited 😆 to see them in a pageant I used to go with my best friend all her kids did them boys and girls the baby category is so cute she had a little boy who is premature and he was about three months old and he won king of the whole pageant and he was asleep the whole time but he had a little suit on it was so cute!! It definitely can get expensive though!! An some of the parents take it waaaaaayyyyy to serious especially at glam pageants like fake teeth spray tan dresses that cost thousands of dollars fake care to put in their childhood like just stuff that you would never imagine but I do love the natural and like Semi glam pageants!!!💙💗👑👑🌟🌟💯🥰

What pageant system are you doing? My mom put me in pageants from the time I was four years old. And I competed a LONG time even after I was married. My mom was a pageant director later after I got grown, I also have put on some pageants and now I just mostly judge. Keep the ear rings like a small little rhinestone stud for her age. The Cinderella pageant system is FANTASTIC check it out! The nationals actually used to be in Florida when I competed it was in Miami. But that has been a hot minute lol. They are never to young lol My oldest daughter was 6 weeks old when she won her first crown. LOL and my boys did it a few time when they were REALLY young. I have a lot of good memories with my mom and grandmother. I was sort of a shy kid but put me on stage and it was ON LOL! She is so beautiful she will do great! What color dress did you get her? I hope you enjoy it! I think you will. Cinderella has a mans division called Prince Charming so her could do it lol And they have a married group I think for you. Make it a family affair lol. I am just kidding trust me you will be on pins and needles the day of the pageant. Can't wait to see pictures and if you need any advise for real I am here for ya. I love to watch you guys all the time, you have the cutest family. I think your all just precious. I am a grandmother now so lots of experience.
I understand your reasoning for hazel building confidence in pageants, just don’t forget that pageants also destroy confidence. Losing because you weren’t dressed as pretty as the other girls can be extremely harmful to a young kids mind.

Its been 22 years ago, but I put my 10 month old daughter in the baby pagent and she won 1st place which I knew my daughter was very beautiful don't we all lol but I truly was like what number? What number??? Bc they called out a number instead of her name and I didn't really think about her number lol so it took me a minute and then I started screaming and stuff lol its a wonderful feeling to have one of your babies win or even just be in a pagent! Good luck and have loads of fun!! She's so beautiful she dont need any luck!! And lil man is so dang handsome he needs no luck either!!

Wow , that lady did a great job on face painting . Your guest room / office , beginning to look great .Your children are so Precious they are all adorable, I don’t know how you keep up. I went to nursing school and it’s pretty hard to keep up ,and I didn’t have a family to think about.. You’ll be in my prayers 🙏🏻

if they like being on stage you should try a dance team too! I loooved dance competitions and performing it gave me alot of confidence!!
I personally don't believe there should be pageants for young children but they're your children and I'm pretty sure if they're not happy about it they will let you know. My mum putting me in Jiu-jitsu and learning self defence gave me confidence. My parents have always been against pageants.
