  2. I'm a Filipino but if we try to understand Ms.Bostwana's situation, she was caught off guard, imagine if you're in a meeting and your collegue does that to you right before the presentation lalo lang napunta yung focus doon, eh Hindi naman magulo yung hair niya.

  3. Meghan Dear, that was unacceptable, you did if at a wrong time when the world was watching, and this girl was being judged. At a crucial point of the competition…. No Nó No that was very unacceptable

  4. I'm filipino but I didn't like what my fellow Pinoys did when it was like that because when you know you won the pageant you think who are you that Megan Young's lady is rude and disrespectful, Miss World shouldn't be like that. Those who have not been helped in the Philippines, those who participate in the contest are treated like foreigners

  5. The problem was more about the moment she did it, its no secret not to touch a black womans hair😅 but in that moment while she was answering the question wasn't the right moment to be fiddling someone's hair.
I don't think it was in any bad intentions and I am Tswana.

  6. My race are crazy🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️
wtf is wrong with fixing someone's hair for the love of God?????
And wtf is the witchcraft claims for???

  7. Its a very sweet gesture. My goodness sa dami ng problema ng mundo, dinagdag pa to. Next time kay lumipad lipad hair nila wag na pakilaman. Bahala sila sa buhay nila.

  8. What? Botswana sounds too rehearsed and I would choose Trinidad and Lebanon over her. She started sounding so pushy. Thankfully, the most deserving won! Congrats to Czech Republic!

  9. I've worked with so many black people Africans, Nigerians, Kenyans, Ethiopians ang dami nyan dito sa UAE. Nakaka-curious talaga yung hair nila pero whenever curiosity kicks in lagi kami nag-aask ng permission if it's okay for them to touch their hair kahit pa wig yan. They always say yes naman basta with permission and respect.

  10. BOTSWANA SHOULD ADDRESS THIS OR SHE'LL LOOK LIKE A F BETCH, COME ON WHY SO SENSITIVE, IF ITS DISRESPECTFUL IN THEIR CULTURE THEN LETS HAVE CULTURAL BATTLE LOL IN FILIPINO CULTURE ITS A SIGN OF LOVE AND CARE, AS A MS. WORLD IF YOU FOUND SUCH GESTURE NEGATIVELY THEN IT SHOWS YOUR HEART IS NOT OPEN FOR THE WORLD BUT FOR YOUR COUNTRY ONLY YOURE NOT MEANT TO BE MS. WORLD

  11. its a competition of beauty, brain and projection of oneself. Judges make decision based on these characteristics. It is not a game of witchcraft, of luck nor curse. Next time, if you allow your candidate to go beyond your border, let her enter an open world.

  12. 2 real Queens here showing the world how to behave when negativity attacks – Megan Young was quick to apologize and did not make any excuses for her actions, understanding that she may have crossed cultural norms of another country. Miss Botswana appealed to the public and those defending her to not overreact and be obnoxious to others even if they felt she was slighted. Bravo, ladies!

  13. It’s not about culture. It’s ignorance. Belief in witchcraft in this aspect is harmful and leads to all sorts of societal issues within their communities. People are isolated and targeted for being accused of withcraft and it can be extremely dangerous for those who are accused. Culture doesn’t mean good – there are cultural practices the world over which should be banned (such as female genital mutilation and child brides)… this is a prime example of a belief that has been targeted with education, awareness, and even laws to prevent violence against those accused, but the belief still persists all-throughout Africa.

  14. touching someone's hair is a bad aura specially if you are expecting a good karma. its like someone is holding back your destiny… and so it did for Ms Botswana.
