There was an extra opening and so of all competing contestants one who had done great overall but did not win to represent a state was chosen. That was given to Jalisco Designada. It means selected of not title winner.

And that was not an evenning gown competition though, that was a designer gown contest, each contestant brought a dress designed by a local designer from each state, however this was a great oportunity for the girls to showcase their skills. By the way, the winner of the best original gown design was Nayarit, and Jalisco1 and México City completed the top 3.

The difference between the two Jalisco girls, is that the girl in purple is “Jalisco designada”, she was a runner up at her state final and the privilege to be invited to the final by Lupita Jones

First Let me tell you THANK YOU for the vídeo, second, mexico has 32 states so that means 32 delegates but some times some state does not have delegate so when this happens states like jalisco can send two delegates this is Lupita jones desicion. And this Guanajuato is the best, since 2007 guanajuato does not win the crown to miss universe, the last miss Guanajuato won was Elisa Najera top 5 in miss universe 2008 so I hope this year diana from Guanajuato wins
