  1. Personally, Miss FRANCE is the Best Beauty Pageant in the PLANET, better than Miss Universe.

Miss Supranational somehow wants to copy Miss France Show but couldn't.

I started watching Miss France in 2012 when Marine Lorphelin won. And every year I watched its every editions.

  2. My region which is TAHITI needs to participate in other pageantry like MU or MW something like that. Thanks Dani for ur honest reaction about Miss Tahiti. And also your pronunciation of French is on point (applause).

  3. Good job !
you could have shown an extract of the tribute to GDF, the famous creator of the competition, nicknamed "the hat lady", with many former MF : it was simple and moving.

  4. Franche-Comté (it's not "France"-Comté) : the region is the region of watchmaking so clocks on her skirt. Idem for Bourgogne, the little balls are snails ! Alsace : storks goes to nest in Alsace.
Pays de la Loire : in the west of France and ancient ports to America
It's not Auvergine but Auvergne (Overñ)
The poor Lorraine and her horrible costume is for the famous recipe "Quiche" often named in France "Quiche lorraine"

  5. Tahiti is the most successful region with its last 10 representatives:
Miss france 2013: 1st runner up
    MF 2014: 1st runner up
    MF 2015: 1st runner up
    MF 2016: 2nd runner up
    MF 2017: 2n runner up
    MF 2018: no classement
    MF 2019: Winner
    MF 2020: 2nd runner up
    MF 2021: didn't compete
    MF 2022: 3rd runner up
    MF 2023: no classement
MF 2024: Top 15 (7th place) and fun fact: she's the first miss Tahiti didnt enter
in the top 5 when a Miss Tahiti entered in the semifinalists since 1978.

  6. It’s funny you say they hold her performance back a little because it’s too miss grand and that’s what I felt Nicaragua Miss Universe gave me nothing but Miss Grand vibes through out the whole competition

  7. I think the new Miss France is beautiful and deserving and France really know how to put on a show.

That being said, the idea of short hair being considered a diversity thing (in her first question answer) is very, very funny to me.

  8. Miss Guyane was a very very very good contestant this year. In an interview in a well-known French show, she mentionned that she really wants to participate to the French version of Dancing with the Stars ! I really hope that she can participate to an international competition. She was my predicted winner and get the number 1 spot from the public votes as well. The actual winner, Miss Nord Pas De Calais, was 3rd from the public and the winner from the judges.

  9. The queens from Reunion are really local celebrities on the island. We love our queens and the Miss France pageant is a really big moment here ! Maybe that’s why we pay attention to pick the right contestant every year ! xx

  10. Thanks so much for doing this Dani! I love your new Miss France, she's very eloquent as well as beautiful, she's dealing really well with the ridiculous backlash 🙂
PS – I love your necklace, so chic 🙂 Is it vintage?
    Happy new year!

  11. More than 100 years of Miss France and still one of the best pageants. Love the way it fusions theatrical segments with music and dance. Btw we appreciate so much your effort in pronouncing French!! Happy New Year Dani!

  12. Miss France 2024 and 2023 have Indian origins and Eve is half Indian. So happy that Indian talent is shining in France as we see lot of racism in France and stereotypes against Indians.

  13. First of all, great job pronouncing the regions (not French, but I have been studying the language for 9-ish years, BTW). A bit of a correction, though, Auvergne is pronounced "Oh-vern".

For some reason, when Ève won her regional pageant, I kind of knew she was going to get the Miss France crown. It takes a lot of guts to rock short hair in a pageant where a lot of the audience still has, uhm, very conservative beauty standards. I knew her confidence would serve her well. Guyane was a very good competitor, though, so I hope she also gets a chance to represent France (maybe, Ève for MU 2025, Audrey for MW…whatever year it is).

En tout cas, félicitations à Ève. Sacré bien mérité ! (In any case, congratulations to Ève. Well-deserved win !)

  14. Your pronunciation of the French regions has greatly improved throughout the years!

Thank you Dani for always taking the time to review our pageant and give us the appreciation we deserve!

  15. Think we can all agree miss France can take over MU, their production is just spectacular… with America, Asia and Latin countries there is too much politics!

  16. Dani, the way you pronounced the french states are fantastic! i absolutely love the winner btw. Miss Universe has been a fan of short hair ladies lately e.g. Nandita – Singapore (MU 2021 Top 16), Sheynnis (MU winner 2023), Michelle (MUPH 2023; top 10 MU)

  17. I think the reason for very creative and elaborate production is because Miss France is also taking notes from Eurovision like Mr. & Ms. Supranational pageant. Eurovision camera work loves playing around the stage and explore different angles. Also, France performs very well in Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

  18. That's what Miss Universe is Lacking is this kind of Production people love stuff like this. Just like Miss Grand International
Provence is so Beautiful she reminds me of a south American girl
You should watch Miss Switzerland 2013 Pageant that was great as well they did a fashion show . That's when Dominique won she had that short hair as well also thought she would have went far in the Miss Universe 2013
The winner of Miss France with that short hair MMMmmmm Wonder if she will go to World Instead and the other 2 might go to Miss Universe who knows
I have a feeling this show was about 3 to 4 hours long to set up the staging it's nice seeing all the former winners come out on stage
    Viva La France 2024
    Happy 2024 Dani
PS Just wondering what that painting in the back with a light shinning on it

  19. Indira will be competing at Miss Universe 2024 🙂 She started catwalk classes and will be spending 6 months in London to improve her second and third languages (eng/spanish).

  20. Also, all the clothes given to the contestants are gifts and everything is free for the contestants which makes it possible for every girl, no matter her financial status, to compete, and have equal chances
