Just saw this and let me say as one of the people in the comments of her generation, if you are calling for her cancellation because of this I hope that you get cancelled for all the wrong things you've ever done. There is not one person alive who has never done anything wrong. She was like 14 years old when she did this. I personally wouldn't have done it, but how do all you in the comments saying she's not genuine in her apology know. Some are making the argument she was laughing. Maybe she was laughing nervously. Have you ever heard of that? I'd be willing to bet you have, but because you people have such hatred in your hearts you're blinded. If you are calling for her entire future to be destroyed because of something she did in her early teens, then I hope your life falls apart. I love how a lot of you expect teens to never be peer pressured. If you are calling for her cancellation, then I can guarantee you that you are a way nastier person than she is. 👍You should all be thankful the nasty things you've done with your lives didn't happen when you were being recorded because things like social media didn't exist. I can tell most of you commenting these horrible things about her are adults, so I have to say, you should all be ashamed of yourselves. Everyone I've talked to said she was impressionable because she had been so bullied and mistreated as a young person, yet you as adults have turned to bullying teens for things they did at 14 years old. You should be ashamed of yourselves you sad excuses for adults. You clearly have the maturity of 5 year olds and I hope everything you've ever done wrong comes back to bite you because of the horrible things you've said about this poor girl. Oh, and then I see some of you in the comments commenting on her looks. Aren't you people the same people that shout at the top of your lungs about how everyone looks so good and how we shouldn't body shame people. You're truly a bunch of nasty hypocrites. No excuses. There should be NOTHING that can coerce a person to use a word such a word. Stop blaming others for YOUR choice. There’s many horrible words like that. And It doesn’t matter that you didn’t KNOW you were being recorded. Real character is doing the right thing when it’s not recorded. This didn’t HAPPEN TO you, Kate. YOU are NOT the victim. You made it happen. If you are so easily pressure into doing this, you aren’t the type character needed for representing Washington.You need to step down. We make choices & some we regret.

The fact that the reigning miss teen USA is African American and there’s a contestant that did this that is vying for her crown is upsetting
They said she did this to get in front of it but if that were true you should’ve said early on that in the past you made this mistake that could potentially come up and wanted to let it be known.

The only person(s) that can "so called" "give you a pass" to say the N-word or any offensive word about any group, is the person(s) the offensive word is directed at. I understands she is a teen but someone needs to teach her how to take resposibilities for her own actions, It will help her better succeed far in life.
