  1. So it's great MUO releases the closed door interviews of the top 16…BUT…what about the rest, how can we truly compare ALL the girls to see who actually are the best speakers PLUS best performers as a whole package if we ONLY see the top 16 girls' interviews? The top 16 could be great communicators, but how can we determine they are THE BEST if we don't see how the other girls did?

Plus it's 50% of the overall score, so if they got all 50% in the speaking but only a fraction of the remaining 50% (swimsuit & evening gown)…they could technically still lose to another candidate that has a big less in speaking, but full 50% in swimsuit/evening gown right?

MUO needs more transparency – show all the interviews if speaking abilities is 50% of the score. Otherwise, why show all the performance of the batch yet withhold the interviews if it's weighted equally high??

  2. To be a miss universe didn’t have to be the best english speaker but should have a story and a conviction to transform something out of your story… you don’t need to be the most beautiful and the best pasarela performer only, to be a miss universe she should be able to inspire people to do something about our world. And, i thank you!

  3. I love Miss Laos. Such a strong and confident lady at her young age. At the age of 17, she already started to inspire young and old people in her country to better themselves. What a great advocacy!

  4. Wow. At first I was really surprised that she got into the Top 16 as she didn't fit into the stereotypes of Miss Universe and I misjudged her. Now I know! YES! Top 10 even! She is an inspiration. The interview made me tear up! Now I know. Yes, YEs, YES!

  5. A dark horse..wew ..she seserved to be in top 16 , she has a beautiful story that she share to the judges and it's very inspiring…♥♥

  6. The way she speaks English is so interesting, it is apparent that she is lacking in vocabulary, but when she speaks she sounds so professional and did not skip a beat.

  7. You cannot teach warmth and relatability in just a few months. This lady right here needs no training for it. She has been like that her whole life.

    Well-deserved Miss Universe Placement!

  8. She deserved it. She’s so confident! Her story is inspiring and she has a strong advocacy for education in her country. If you follow her story, her family is from and still lives in a village in the mountains of Laos. She ascended from poverty to where she is now, she’s using her struggle as a gateway to help others. Truly beautiful with a heart.

  9. Even before the finals I can tell she can be on top 16…among Asian candidates she has a unique and strong background….Philippines is also proud of her being Asian

  10. When this lady entered the Top 16, I was genuinely happy. I'm Filipino and I'm sad our candidate didn't make the cut but I am so happy Payengxa represented the ASEAN countries and she's our flag bearer for Miss Universe 2022. Her introduction made it to Tiktok world but Payengxa is more than that. She's an authentic and beautiful leader. I love her story, the way she motivates people. She really deserved that spot in the Top 16.
