Today we have a Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Reaction to the Top 5 Q and A (Question and Answer) segment of the competition. The Miss Universe Philippines organization just crowned Celeste Cortesi as their reigning queen but this was not an easy task since a lot of candidates excelled during the preliminary competition and during the coronation night. The Question and Answer (Q and a) segment is a decisive moment to pick the winner of the pageant. Pauline has such great communication skills, but she just doesn't seem that confident when it comes to her walk or swimsuit. It's as though you can see the self doubt written all over her face. Celeste on the other hand, is a fierce Queen on stage.
To all the fans of those gurls who has a great speaking abilities remember that This is Pageantry not Jeopardy.

Many people liked Pauline's answer but sad to say, the MU format now was changed to the same format back in 2010 where the top16 were chosen based in their prelimns. During the prelimns the girls must excel in all aspects namely, q&a(interview), swimsuit and evening gown. Ariela Arida who was Philippine representative that time failed in the q&a during prelimInary but managed to be on top16, because of fan votes. She ended up top 5 for the q&a round. She performed well at the swimsuit and long gown. Same happened to Chalita Sansuane of Thailand back in 2016. During the 2016 finals, the top16 were trimmed down to 12. Siera Bearchell (Canada) despite her healthy body made it to top10 in 2016 but the judges seemed to think that a healthy body doesn't really look good especially for along gown competition. She didn't make it to top6 although she's very good in q&a. What I'm saying is, the girl has to surpassed first the swimsuit, the long gown before she can utilize her q&a prowess. The girl has to prepare not only mentally but physically. A slimmer or even a healthy body can justify a good swimsuit walk just like Sierra did but a healthy body can't make a good performance in long gown unless the judges change their perception of a standards of how a beauty queen should be. If MUO will not crown a fat Miss Universe(the judges are just following the MUO criteria) then the standard of beauty is still the same(physical beauty come first before brain). If people worldwide petitioned to eliminate long gown and swimsuit round and MUO follows it, then the perspective of a beauty queen standard has changed. As Pia Wurtzbach said when she introduced Harnaaz…THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IN THE UNIVERSE( always referring to reigning Miss Universe since time immemorial ).

To all pageant fans reading this comment specially the latins please do not send hatred comments to the MUPH orgz. We are doing our best to promote tourism through the things that we are strong and that is the beauty pageant. If Miss Universe is featuring the MUPH it is simply because our current Miss Universe is there. If other countries can afford to invite her so be it invite her it is your right! morever, the presence of the former Miss Universes in the pageant is a must and I still do believe that with all the pageants former Miss Universe should be the host as they were once on that situation and of to still have their moments to shine even after the title. MUPH tried to showcase our pageantry in an international level as we are one of the powerhouses in pageantry. We are using english language as a medium of communication to communicate globally, so with all the latin countries do not send bitterness and just send love. Philippines have never complained in your countries when something good is happening.🙄. When Ms. India wad crowned the Miss Universe this year we were happy as much as the Indian people and that should be the case to all of us. If in Miss Universe competition you Latin countries are not winning I think you have to think why and improve on it rather that being pessimistic towards others.👍🫰🙏

In Top 16, the swimsuit and evening gown performance were judged for them to be able to be in top 10.
In top 10. For them to get in top 5 they need to undergo the casual Q and A..
….. in top 5 base on casual Q anda it should be Cebu City or Albay instead of Taguig… who highlight his BOYFRIEND in her answer..hhahhahaha…
Anyways it is already done..and im happy that Pasay won…very beautiful and sexy..she should work on comskills nlng. And I know she will improve.

We wanna know your thoughts about other countries saying that MUO has a big support to MUPH and it will going to be a cooking show, they said that MUPH bought the MU2022 Crown already, like No more competition because MUO features and post all about the Philippines 🇵🇭.. pls ur answer and what do u think of MUO regarding this.. thank u.

Its very clear that they did not put albay in the top 5 because they knew she can ace those questions and might overshadow the possible winner.

Celeste's answer was heartfelt but not impactful for me, it's not a miss universe answer maybe beacuse of the question. I also hope that she will improve her communication skills especially avoiding the nerves
Pasay's answer was not the best but she is the best choice ro represent the Philippines considering other area of the pageant
