Why can't 1/5 of Americans locate the US on a map and what can we do to change it? All she had to say was "1/5 can't locate the US on a map because they didn't study hard enough. To change this I would make 1 geography class mandatory for graduation". Instead she goes off on this tangent about the Iraq and South Africa like those countries have anything to do with each other and absolutely nothing to do with how educated "US Americans" are. And don't forget she threw in "the Asian countries" at the end there. To her, do the Asian countries include Russia? Or India? Or does she mean the countries where the people look Chinese ? I would bet a billion dollars she meant the latter and has no clue that India is in Asia! 😂😂😂. And where does she come up with South Africa? How does that enter her brain? I can see how Iraq could get into her empty head because of the war and she's probably seen a news channel showing it to be a war torn county and associated that with people being poor and having no maps. Perhaps she chose S. Africa from seeing news footage of poor people starving to death in Ethiopia and assumed that was Sputh Africa? I don't know. That's my best guess. Anyone else have something better?
You actually seem dumber and somewhat validate part of her answer and make the question more relevant. US Americans is the more accurate description of US citizens. Mexico, Canada and the US share the continent of America. Therefore, there are Mexican Americans, US Americans, and Canadian Americans. In fact, hardly no one in Latin “America” refer to us as Americans (Americanos), but instead they refer to us as Ustadounidense (United States-tian).
