It’s that time of year again… time for the Hatchetfield Honey Festival! And, of course, the whole town is wondering, “Who will be crowned this year’s Honey Queen?” When upper-crust socialite Linda Monroe sets her sights on the crown, she makes an enemy of cutthroat barista Zoey Chambers. Soon, what’s meant to be a pleasant pageant becomes a bloody nightmare as the two bitter rivals lie, cheat, steal, and kill their way to the top. It’s a battle to the death for the coveted throne of the Honey Queen.

Honestly Linda could've texted Sam as Zoey and said that Linda had dropped out and to free River, but while she's calculating, her bloodlust takes priority over logic.
Normally I hate when a show does a festival/prom/beauty queen episode for how formulaic it is with the "Two girls want to be queen of event, they spend the episode behaving like petty bitches to each other even if it's OOC but then learn a lesson that being queen isn't important, blah, blah, blah." But I think that's why I LOVE the dark tone Nightmare Time takes to it, helps that it's in character for the two main female leads to behave this way, and the twist in the ending was so chilling and disturbing I absolutely loved every second of it! Honestly I just love how this was mostly a Hatchetfield Antagonist Battle Royal. Also Nick makes an excellent Hidgens. There's more I could gush about this episode but I don't want to get too spoilery for the viewers that haven't finished watching it.😁♥️

maybe it's just my imagination but all of these songs seem a lot more autotuned than starkid is normally. I like them a lot but they feel more processed than usual
