  1. Thank you. You actually showed the exact dress I bought my 8 year old granddaughter on what not to wear 😂. But I only bought it for fun so it is very good to know that she should not wear it to her pageant on June 12. The dress was shown on a different video!! Not this video. 🤦‍♀️. It was age appropriate.

  2. Can you do a video differentiating pageant gowns from red carpet ones? I saw an interview with a beauty queen before and she said she was particular with the gown and it shouldn’t be red carpet-ish. Did my teasearch but couldn’t understand. Thanks!

  3. Would you ever do a video about the most common things Miss America or Miss USA title holders do or wear to win? I remember a host at Miss America said that a lot of women wear white at Miss America because a lot of former Miss Americas wore white when they won. Like hair up or hair down, smokey eye or natural glam, rhinestone dress or simple dress? etc.

  4. Gurl! I totally love this! And your advice and input visa vie gowns was invaluable in our latest gown adventure! For anyone wondering, Dani is amazing and worth every penny!

  5. This was entertaining! And couldn't agree more, Dani!
So happy Miss South Africa 🇿🇦 is really innovative with their dresses, and they're always customised so well for each girl (alhough, Tamryn's runner up dress in 2018 could have been better IMO.)
PS Natashe actually rocks a green dress; goes really well with her jet-black hair and warm, inviting green eyes. I haven't seen it at MU (although I wouldn't really know 🙂 I really hope Natasha rocks another (but definitely a better and more simple sleek) structured emerald or black gown at MU this year, it's… rare and unique, like her.

  6. Me: watching for fun because I can’t afford a new gown for my compeition

Dani: Satin ballgown with rhinestone bodice

My gown:*satin ballgown with rhinestone bodice*

    Me: 😳 oh no

  7. I agree regarding your analysis of these dresses. When dresses get firmly categorized you know you’re going in the wrong direction. The term, “pageant dress”, for example, is almost the kiss of death if you’re looking for an evening gown. It’s unfortunate Sherri Hill has gotten the lock on the gowns worn by Miss USA contestants. Not to say her gowns aren’t lovely…many of them are, but IMO, designers should simply design a fashion forward evening gown, not a “pageant” gown. When you’re competing, the whole point of competition is to stand out among the other contestants. I’m hoping the current Miss USA will have good support from her handlers with respect to securing her a stellar competition and travel wardrobe. Countries other than the US have greater support and many of the gowns the contestants of some of these other countries provide their title holders with designer gowns. In order for the US to continue to be competitive they will have to step up the sophistication. I agree, it’s time to retire the cutesy, girl-next-door competition gowns and go for high fashion sophistication.
