First of all Miss Universe is not a pride for any woman. We don't celebrate that among us, it spreads a lot of negative views on what a young woman should be. Look at them, they are supposed to be vertuous while being oversexualised with over the top makeup, very sexy gowns and super high heals. They are also mostly celebrated through their bodies and not about what they achieved or what they could possibly achieve : their potential, their skills, their wisedom, their values and their sensibility. You are hot or you are not. That's it. A lot of them do those contests under their family pressure or expecting to do things that really matter to them after winning. No woman thinks beauty pageants is our right or something to fight for because we own them. Even the beauty queen themselves don't care much afterwards.
They are sometimes SO young it's barely legal to use the word "woman" or "feminity" on them. This is a show that demands yound ladies to act like what people think "woman" means. This is not what being a woman means, it has never been.
Furthermore it's this kind of fake womanhood display that allowed lost kids to get gender dysphoria because it looks so pretty and sparkly and easy and cute to be a woman when you look at this. There are no issue, you just wear a cute dress and wear tones of makeup with long hair and bam you are with no doubt a woman to others. You can be harmless, very emotive, kind of naive, sometimes a bit stupid, seem immature, peaceful, not ambitious and genuinely kind in front of people and it's loved, praised and awarded by millions every year. No man can expect that but there are boys like this and now they believe they just have to be a cliché, a sexist representation of women so they can be themselves and perhaps finally accepted.
We have to tell and show the truth of what it truly is to be a woman daily and stop with those kind of non-sense.
