I can't believe she survived. She was under water for a long time.
She was probably doing handstands (hence the hair getting sucked in and tangled around the drain) so seeing her feet in the air wasn't alarming. There was nothing to say she was in any danger, other than the amount of time she spent under, and the other girls noticed that and called for help. Give them a break.
Hair can be dangerous, I watched a girl get a chunk of her scalp ripped off on a ride at the fair. If you wear long hair down you have to be super aware of your surroundings. I hope she's okay.
