I love how this was almost a callback to the "Native Americans set fire to the pilgrim village and Christina Ricci lights a match" part of the play in live action film. I could almost hear the Addams family theme at 3:26 and smiled.

This reboot fundamentally misunderstands every character in the Addams family, from the parents (who should be supportive of their hellspawn no matter what, and constantly loving toward each other) to Wednesday ever deigning to wear any such outfit of her own volition. And if she's trying to win this competition, she wouldn't be so blatantly acting out onstage and going against the grain. I don't see how this is in character even for the character they've twisted her into for this reboot. If anything, she should be trying desperately to mimic the others and THEY should have Carrie'd her with the red paint at the end, since she does deal with bullying for being different in this reboot. Just disappointing…
