I’m Molly, a typical sushi, makeup, and fashion loving millennial girl who just so happens to be blind! I was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa at just 4 years old and began public speaking at age 5. I started just doing motivational speaking, but now I make videos and even model! Even though I can’t see, I know that there are bright spots in everything we face. Let’s find them together. 💕..(read more at source)

  1. "Just because you and your fear can't adequately step into my shoes, doesn't mean I am unable to do something! I'm not you, luckily!" is something I actually blurted out to a stranger one time when being told I couldn't do something. God that's like r e one mplet th!can still make me lose my temper completely!

  2. This is my favorite video Molly. I'm 45 and have been surfing since I was 7 yrs old and lost my hearing unexpectedly 8 yrs ago but I still surf. My friends ran, my fiance ran, my older sister didn't even bother to invite me to her wedding because I was now deaf but I still keep learning. I still surf even though my friends ran.

  3. I love this story and the message behind this. I keep thinking about the word resilience. This story is the embodiment of building resiliency. Thank you for telling your story Molly!

  4. My best friend has Cerebral Palsy and people had been telling her she couldn't do things her whole life. One day her twin and I were making plans to go skating and she said she couldn't go with us because she couldn't skate. Why not? So I took her to Canadian Tire, got her skates that fit and she came too!

  5. When you talked about your week of surfing, I gasped when you said it was at EXMO. I then proceeded to cry when you talked about it and yelled “BRADON” before you even said his name. I cried the whole time you talked about your friendship. I love how open you are and I love that you have found such a loving person in your life. And than you for the inspirational quote at the end. I really needed that. Thank you, Molly ❤️

  6. I'm not even disabled and I once got from my crush who I was becoming friends with that "If only you were six inches taller you would be the perfect girlfriend for me" then he waltzed off like he just hadn't crushed every ounce of the small amount of self esteem I had when I was a freshman in a new school

  7. I know you won’t see this—but I want to thank you for sharing this and speaking to and for those who have experienced similar experiences. My husband was that kid who was bullied—by teachers. He had undiagnosed dyslexia and was told he was dumb, that he’d “fail as a bum,” and was the only person who could add 1+1 and get 100. 😔
He is currently in the process of completing his thesis for his second Master’s degree—this one in Fine Arts. Took him years and years to believe he was intelligent and worthy. To anyone who feels “less than”: You are worthy, you are loved, and you can do it!!!

  8. I just wanted to say how much I love your channel and admire you. I am sighted with glasses, but I do have night blindness whether I wear my glasses or not. I also know that there is a very high chance that I will lose the rest of my sight as I get older. Just knowing that you can do all these things, like sports or being into fashion and doing your make-up really gives me hope for a day that I know will come for me.
