I believe the different-sized clips are all meant for the waist, but different size options depending on how many layers of clothes she's wearing! I think it's way better than the chair thing. This way you have replacements if one were to break or disappear, plus it will fit well regardless of what she's wearing, and perhaps even accommodate boy dolls/ other dolls altogether :)))
