This is repulsive. Competition is supposed to be for character building, sportsmanship, and learning how to stay undefeated when you don't get the win. This is NOT a sport. It's performance art, which can be a very good thing.
It's really not a good look for 2 grown women to be making fun of little girls. Being that bitter is NOT attractive, ladies.

What do these kids actually benefit from doing this? I'd understand if it were sports or something where they're playing but this is just adults trying to see who has a better looking daughter than who.

This should be outlawed. Not because of the children but because of the adults. The kids are just repeating things they've heard their parents say. This is turning them into brats. They'll grow up narcissistic, backstabbing witches.
Taking these girls childhood away from them is just wrong! That’s not loving your kids it’s using them!

All of y'all whining on the comments make me sick. I did pageants from 5 to 19 turned out fine. How is this any different from children in ballet or cheer? Shut up cause my future kid will do pageants too.
