Victoria Velasquez Vincent (Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Charity) just declined an offer to be appointed as Miss Universe New Zealand 2021. The announcement was made through Victoria Velasquez Instagram page by saying that after a long reflection and consulting with her close circle, she decided to decline the Miss Universe New Zealand offer and resume her duties as Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Charity Title Holder.
Victoria Velasquez Vincent was considered a fan favourite during Miss Universe Philippines 2021 even before the official announcement of the Top 100 Candidates. Although she is new to the Pageantry World, Victoria Velasquez Vincent (or VVV) was recruited by The Camp from The Philippines.
She went on to represent the Province of Cavite during Miss Universe Philippines 2021 and was able to excel alongside the likes of Katrina Dimaranan, Maureen Wroblewitz, Steffi Aberasturi and the reigning Miss Universe Philippines 2021: Beatrice Luigi Gomez.

  1. Miss U NZ organization does not have enough resources and money to support her journey in Miss Universe. If she wanted to be Miss U NZ, she would've entered their national pageant and probably win it. She made the right choice to turn them down and maybe give Miss U PH another try next year.

  2. Spot on Luis! Big respect and admiration to VVV on her decision to decline MUNZ offer. The world is her oyster and she can decide later if she will join MUNZ after her duties and responsibilities as MUP Charity.

  3. Opportunities, blessings, and offers for advancement should be appreciated and not rejected. What does she think she will accomplish by stating she is Filipino? Being noble? The fact is that she is more New Zealander than she wants to admit.

  4. Cause she know, New Zealand not a Miss Universe powerhouse of Pageantry. She will be just a clapper if she represent New Zealand. Philippines is more power country at Miss Universe/

  5. From my understanding, when you are given the sash of the country you represent. It means that you represent the women of that country. The way you were brought up, the cultures and traditions you grow up in, the values you share. It doesnt matter if you are a person with fililino blood and love the country so much. The fact is if you havr the philippine sash you are inaccurately representing a filipino woman if your only connection to it is your mother or your favorite filipino dish.

  6. I actually am so disappointed that she declined it, it is one in a lifetime shot to be in the Miss Universe stage, maybe she thought us Filipinos would hate her if she would accept it? i hope she wont regret it and would be one of her "what ifs" in the future

  7. She wants to represent PHILIPPINES on Miss Universe soon. If She accepted the offer. Do you guys thinks she can still compete on the respective pageant. No ! Coz She's already represent New Zealand (if that would be happen). Respect her decision. She wants to raise our flag 🇵🇭 on international stage soon

  8. If VVV won the MUP, I would be supporting her. She has the beauty, brain, and has one of the best catwalk.

It would really be exciting if she accepted New Zealand's offer to her and how I wish Katrina would have just represented US after not getting the crown. Three Filipinas in one pageant, wouldn't that be exciting?

  9. Some are crazy!!!!! That’s all of course it’s her decision but many mixed races in the Philippines too right as Filipino had still happy with all of girls

  10. I love Victoria. True fans of VVV will accept her decisions and will continue to support and love her.

But for now, let's support Bea on her quest to be the next Miss Universe. ❤️

  11. Your thumbnail is such a clickbait lol, June? And I can attest that NONE of the Filipino people judge and discredits Victoria. She can speak and understand Filipino, her mom is Filipino, she also experienced living in the ph even in a small amount when she was a child. SO FOR US FILS..THERES NO ISSUE.. (maybe you?) lege ne leng telege teye genegeweng centent pere sa byus 🤬😓

  12. Well, We'll said Luis, I like your explaination, perspective about this issue..I can understand and relate about this coz, I'm an immigrant and became citizen. We live in diverse multicultural country

  13. She should accept it. Even after she declined. It's a once-in-a-lifetime offer she will never encounter again in her pageantry life. This is not about winning or losing. This is about gaining experience, meeting new people and looking at yourself in a different perspective and out of the box. At the end of the day, it is not just about a bloodline or bodily concept. It is realizing that we are all spirit souls in the universe. For once, it will be so refreshing to see a person represent herself as a unique individual soul, rather than a factory made beauty queen. True, thousands of girls could only wish that they'd be invited the same way but she is in a unique position to do this for herself and for the whole universe. Change your mind Victoria and rise to the occasion.

  14. Katrina Dimaranan is a pure Filipina and after becoming an American citizen joined Miss America and won Miss Supranational. This year she came came to the Philippines and joined the Miss Universe contest and won as first runnerup which is 2nd. So VVV could now join MUNZ with no problem. After all the training she got in the Philippines, it would be easier for her now.

  15. She politely declined the offer to represent MU NZ is a tough decision a once in a lifetime opportunity,my respect and admiration to this girl. For someone who grew up and studied overseas and still think of active solutions to problems in the Philippines….that's admirable.I think there's more to her than jusy being a pageant girl she is proud of being Filipina.I wish she compete again for TeamPHILIPPINES🇵🇭 Triple VVV👍

  16. It's ironic that some pageant fans make fuss about mixed race candidates but they cheer mixed race athletes who represent the Philippines in international competitions. And brag about international celebrities with Filipino lineage!
