Since the coronation night of Miss Universe 2023, Michelle Dee has been a trending topic since most pageant fans feel like Miss Philippines should have entered. the top 5. After delivering an exceptional evening gown performance it was almost sure that Michelle Dee would move on to the next round of the competition. However, this was not the case.

To be honest I never saw Philippines 🇵🇭 in the top 5.
Nah. Filipinos are just bitter. There are 90 contestants and they act like theres only 10 and they act like Michelle Dee is the only contestant that is talented, confident, intelligent. Filipinos dont know the hardship that the other contestants went through to represent their country. Its like Michelle Dee is the only contestant they watched. If other countries is on screen, they go to the bathroom, cook food, feed the cats, etc. STOP BEING BITTER
I've noticed that also, they cheered mostly representatives from the latin countries of central and south america, even spain. Maybe they see Filipinas as close competitors of the crown? Its understandable that this happened, the pageant wAS HELD in the latin region of the world. Im not aware of the composition of the judges, are the continents or regions of the world fairly represented? There were rumors that the latina/latino judges banded together so that the winner would be a latina also huddled together during the finals which is not allowed ?
Yes that’s what I observed, she’s not well received by audience , my instinct that’s she’s been clubbed , it’s not fair, how about if Miss Universe held at the Philippines, & Latina candidate will be clubbed by Filipino judges, bruhaha , but it’s all a contest, & MMD still a winner with all her superb performance, and fans knows about it

At least top 5 luis. Its too obvious how some judges personally qttacked hwr instead of scoring fairly.
In my opinion, the final evening gown is one of the best gowns that ever graced the Miss Universe stage. It was worth a spot in the Top 5.
I agree i am a pageant coach my feelings loved thailand but Phillipines was robbed !
We can’t really get rid of the biases.
There are leaks of the long gown results where you can see some judges giving a low score to Philippines.
Whereas the filam judge, even Iris who won in the Ph gave a 10 to Michelle.
Judging is surely subjective and has biases.
It is hard to separate biases most of the times.
Hands down MMD deserved to be in the top 5.
Nicaragua is sensational for real but Michelle deserved a higher rank.

Why is it everytime the Philippines don't win the pageant it always comes down to something "was rigged"…Do you guys mean that the Philippines should always be in the top 5 of every beauty pageant. Her final gown is not exceptional. It's black in color. Whoever wins in the Miss Universe wearing black gown.?
For judges impartiality, after the top 20 announcement, they should announce the girl's name when she is competing. They can announce the country when announcing the results. And later publish the results.
The Filipinos need to get a grip on. During Pia's win, they were excusing the humiliating moment for Colombia as an honest mistake. I knew that if the roles were switched, they would have torn down Miss Universe back then. What hypocrites.
Although she's a super delegate, I don't think she could compete with Thailand or Nicaragua. She wouldn't win Miss Universe and her gown didn't help her radiate her look. Filipinos should ban Miss Universe. Everyone will be relieved with that. Pia should have won for Germany. Catriona for Australia. Philippines doesn't deserve these queens. Sad that these girls competed through Philippines because it's easier to win in a South-East Asian country. White supremacy at it's finest and the Philippines support that.

I totally agree… She's been uniquely herself plus what people was wondering was MMD also bagged all the special award.. Golden winner for voice for change… Fan vote winner…. And carnival award… Now recently they just said that MMD also won best national costume… Which is confusing to everyone… Someone who bagged the special award didn't make it to top 5 with a superb performance in swimsuit and long gown…. They also said the the camera man already focusing to MMD then suddenly Columbia was called… What I can say is that it's MU lost not MMD
it was the strategy of the pageant organizer not to let Michelle in the top.5 because surely she will be able to deliver the best answer to any question thrown to her… so disappointed….

In a competition it shouldn't be about the crowd's preference but the performance of the contestants.
Very very unfair for Michelle to not be in the top 5. Especially she won 4 awards and that includes the National Costume which was later announced. It seemed like it was intended to be announced late. She could have won Miss U, Michelle's forte is Q and A.
