I agree with everything you said. Confidence in your ability is the most significant takeaway from accomplishing a significant goal. I remember being in college months after achieving the Eagle Scout rank and feeling sad for my fraternity brothers when they told me they lacked the confidence to accomplish a major goal. On the other hand, I had all the confidence in the world after spending seven years dedicated to Boy Scouts and reaching the pinnacle.
