This is my opinion. I know beauty pageants are very expensive and the money could be used for other things like college education. But it's the name and honour that matters. You win a beauty pageant, you're a beauty queen for life. You can be 70 years old and people will still call you Miss " State "/ " Country ". Which one sounds better? Telling your friends you're a beauty queen or that you saved a lot of money by not participating?
