Dua Lipa turned heads at this year’s Met Gala, donning a vintage Chanel gown from the fall/winter 1992 collection originally designed by the late Karl Lagerfeld. The stunning white gown featured a figure-hugging corset bodice, low neckline, long skirt with pockets, and tassels. Lipa, who is co-chairing this year’s Met Gala alongside Anna Wintour, Penélope Cruz, Roger Federer, and Michaela Coel, completed her look with a 100-carat diamond necklace from Tiffany & Co. and a 9-carat ring.
The “Levitating” singer looked like royalty as she walked the red carpet with her hair styled in long, loose waves. Her bejeweled necklace perfectly complemented her Chanel bride look, making her stand out among the many celebrities in attendance.
This year’s Met Gala theme, “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” saw Lipa and the other co-chairs celebrating every realm of popular culture. As part of the event, a special exhibition titled “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” was showcased, featuring more than 150 original looks designed by Lagerfeld himself. The exhibit provided a glimpse into the late designer’s expansive seven-decade career, with many of his original sketches also on display.
