how to get extremely big hair / 90's Blowout

when I do my hair, I DO my hair. This is how I style my long hair once a week!

Ok, so the title says it all, but I’ll give you some more details here . . . this is my fake-blowout hair tutorial. I don’t really know what else to call it . . a velcro roller blowout? A throwback blowout? The 90’s look? Pageant hair? Lana del Rey hair? This is how I create big voluminous curls with a straightening iron. It’s a velcro roller tutorial!!!

The benefit of using rollers is that it “sets” the curls so that they hold much longer. Have you ever noticed that when you curl your hair with a curling iron it is basically flat the next day? With this, it’s not the case. These curls will hold for. ever. Seriously. Until you wash your hair again. When I take good care of this hair I can wear it for a whole week. It’s like a miracle!!!!

I think I really learned about using velcro rollers from Tiktok. I think Lilly van Brooklyn was the first person I ever saw who was doing this . . . She is still so great (

If you want a more relaxed look, you can use bigger rollers. Or if you are really pressed and your hair is *TOO* big, you could always clamp it a couple different places with a flat iron. This could give you the more laid back, beachy girl look. Personally, I like doing my hair like this because I like how it looks on days two and three — this style works itself out very, very well. If you’re ever wondering how I did my hair in a video, it was probably like this. This version was really full-out but I do something similar (if not a little bit more relaxed) for most videos. I’m obsessed and it has been such a revelation for me, so I hope I can pass it on to you.

Although I think I’ve been using too much hairspray… I think all the hairspray is making my hair so dry. Watching this video made me realize how much I use . . . girl, calm down.
