To be honest, a lot of these ladies look the same…long, sharp noses, high cheek bones, long, straight dark hair.
The stairs seemed a tad bit wide and was giving some of them PROBLEMS!!

Texas's gown was by Rian Fernandez, a well-known designer from the Philippines. Rian also made the finals gown. The state costume of Miss Texas was also created by another Filipino designer, Patrick Isorena. Not surprised there since Texas is half Filipino.
I don't mind the stairs. If any, since most (if not all) of the girls may have trained how to walk, putting in stairs is a way to throw off technical skills and therefore show who REALLY can walk. I think it is needed. It was one of the elements in the 80s and 90s that I missed–having stairs on stage.
I have to say though, the spray tans were not on point. Most of them looked ORANGE. I think they shouldn't have to spray tan.
3 step on the stairs would have been sufficient, if they really want the darn stairs. Hehe. Why so many steps ?
